The Short and Sad Life of Wooda Bay Pier by Martin Easdown and Patricia Herbert

This 48 page A4 book describes the little known pier at Wooda (or Woody) Bay on the North Devon Coast.  With many historical documents and photographs, it tells of the difficulties in the planning and building of the pier before its opening in April 1897, and its trials and tribulations before it was finally demolished, after only five years, in March 1902.
