Which seaside resort has a race track, a Greyhound Stadium, Venetian waterways, a big wheel and two piers? The answer of course is Great Yarmouth, the location for our 2025 NPS AGM weekend.

This year we will be holding the AGM at the beautiful Royal Assembly Rooms on Great Yarmouth’s sea front. Because we are not holding our AGM or associated events in any one hotel, we are not recommending any specific hotel as a good base for everyone but we have identified that the Andover House Hotel and the Nelson Hotel, both quite close to the AGM venue, may be worth members looking into further themselves. If coming along by caravan/camper van, there is a great campsite at the racecourse and many other caravan parks in the area.

We will, of course, be organising the traditional three days of events, starting with a Drinks and Buffet Reception on Friday evening, including a presentation by popular seaside author and television presenter, Kathryn Ferry. Then a pier visit on Saturday morning, the AGM itself on Saturday afternoon and our Grand Dinner on Saturday evening. For those who can stay for the extra day, Sunday will feature a coach excursion visiting Southwold and hopefully Lowestoft, Claremont Pier being of particular note.

During the AGM, several features of ongoing or future change will be witnessed – particularly the proposed developments at Britannia Pier which will see the current entrance building replaced with a new one, but also the potential regeneration of the Winter Gardens.
