Alex, who opened Revo in June 2021, said: “We have definitely noticed an increase in trade since SEE MONSTER opened”. Planning debate rumbles on at Blackpool Central Pier
The Blackpool Pier Company has lodged an appeal after Blackpool Council ordered the Terrace Bar next to Central Pier to be dismantled. The venue on the Promenade has operated for four years but it emerged in 2021 it did not have planning permission, and in October this year the council’s planning committee refused permission for the bar to stay.

The tenants who manage Hastings Pier are selling off their equipment and have handed back the keys to the attraction’s owners due to ‘an increase in rent’. The tenants managed the pier for the last couple of years.

£1.35 million approved for repairs to Scarborough West Pier
Plans to carry out £1.35m of repairs to Scarborough’s West Pier have been backed by the borough council’s cabinet. The project would undertake “essential” works on the pier, situated in the south bay of Scarborough Harbour.
