A local Loneliness charity in Brighton and Hove, Together Co, has partnered with the Brighton Palace Pier in 2023. Recognising that piers have been a place to connect, make memories, and host celebrations for many years, and to raise awareness of the importance of addressing this societal ilI, the initiative Pier2Peer will be launched in Loneliness Awareness Week 2023.

Within a world of individualisation, place-based connections, like our piers, can be a space to create and enhance social ties to rebuild a community of connectedness.
