This year the National Piers Society will be holding its Annual General Meeting in Hastings to join in the celebrations as Hastings Pier re-opens so this is a must for all pier lovers everywhere!. A whole weekend of events and celebrations are planned between June 10 -12 and this is definitely not a weekend to be missed! Highlights include: Drinks Reception;  AGM stands sales & raffle; Tour of Hastings Pier; Gala Evening Dinner; Guided tour of Eastbourne Pier; Grand Barbeque Lunch on the Ocean Suite Terrace.

We hope that you will spend the entire weekend with us as we have a full programme of events lined up. On Friday 10 June our popular Evening Drinks Reception*, now an essential part of any AGM weekend experience, will be held at 7.00pm in the iconic Azur Banqueting Suite, Marina Pavilions, St Leonard’s on Sea (tel. 01424 447 461). On Saturday 11 June our AGM will be held in the Art Deco Sussex Suite in the White Rock Theatre, directly opposite Hastings pier.  The AGM will commence at 2pm so be sure to arrive early to browse the bookstall and exhibition stands and buy your raffle tickets. Representatives of Hastings Pier Charity will be on hand to answer any questions.  Please remember only paid up members are entitled to vote in the formal business of the AGM but all are welcome to attend. After a break for refreshments we will gather at the Pier entrance and enjoy a guided tour of Hastings Pier. Following the tour we will be hosting our popular gala Evening Dinner* at Azur Banqueting Suite, St Leonard’s on Sea at 7pm. This popular event is always a sell-out so please ensure you book your place early. On Sunday 12 June please make your way to Eastbourne Pier at 12.30pm for a guided tour of all areas – including those not normally accessible to the general public! There are excellent bus and train services to Eastbourne from Hastings and ample seafront car parking near the pier. Please join us for the optional grand Barbeque Buffet followed by traditional a Victorian cream tea* at Eastbourne Pier’s Ocean Suite Terrace, bringing the AGM weekend to a splendid climax.
