Great Yarmouth will be the host of the National Piers Society’s 2025 AGM, previously formally visited in 1992. Whilst the AGM programme is still being finalised by the NPS committee, the formal AGM itself will be based in Great Yarmouth’s Royal Assembly Rooms (of Masonic association). The two piers of Great Yarmouth will most certainly be visited, whilst a coach excursion on Sunday will visit Southwold and hopefully Lowestoft (Claremont Pier being of particular note) on the return journey. During the AGM, several features of ongoing or future change will be witnessed – particularly the proposed developments at Britannia Pier which will see the pictured entrance building swept away, but also the potential regeneration of the Winter Gardens.
