The National Piers Society 2017 AGM will be held in Torquay on 16/17/18th June 2017 at the Livermead House Hotel. Full details and booking forms (events denoted by *) for the weekend will be issued in the Spring edition of PIERS.

This year the National Piers Society will be holding its Annual General Meeting in Torquay. A whole weekend of events and celebrations are planned between June 16 -18 and this is not a weekend to be missed! Highlights include: Drinks Reception; AGM stands sales & raffle; Tour of Teignmouth and Paignton Piers; Gala Evening Dinner; Trip on Dartmouth Steam Railway and circular river cruise on the Kingswear Castle Paddle Steamer.

We hope that you will spend the entire weekend with us as we have a full programme of events lined up. On Friday 16 June our popular Evening Drinks Reception*, now an essential part of any AGM weekend experience, will be held at 5.30pm in Kingsley Suite, Livermead House Hotel, Torbay Road, Torquay, TQ2 6QJ. After the Drinks Reception, the Livermead House Hotel are offering a special discount evening meal menu for NPS members (£20 instead of £32.50). On Saturday 17 June our AGM will be held in the Kingsley Suite at Livermead House Hotel. The AGM will commence at 2pm so be sure to arrive early to browse the bookstall and exhibition stands and buy your raffle tickets. Please remember only paid up members are entitled to vote in the formal business of the AGM but all are welcome to attend. We will be hosting our popular gala Evening Dinner* at the Kingsley Suite, Livermead House Hotel, at 7pm. This popular event is always a sell-out so please ensure you book your place early.

During the weekend members will have the opportunity to visit all three of Torbay’s piers: Teignmouth Grand Pier; Torquay Princess Pier; and we will be hosting a tour of the newly-refurbished Paignton Pier on Saturday at 10.30 am (members to make their own way to the entrance of the pier).

On Sunday 18 June please join us for a ride on the superb Dartmouth Steam Railway and river cruise*. Complimentary transport for NPS members is available from the Livermead House Hotel to Paignton Railway station at 11.30am.Return transport from Paignton to the hotel is at 5.30pm
