The 37th Annual General Meeting of the Society will be held online this year, via Zoom, due to Covid restrictions. While the Society recognise that an online meeting cannot replace our highly enjoyable weekend of events, we do hope that our online programme will entertain and inform you.
The online events will begin at 2pm with exclusive video tours and commentary from piers around the UK. As the Society cannot visit a pier this year, we thought we’d bring the piers to you. We’ll be taking a virtual tour of a selection of piers showcasing the latest developments, building works, and restorations, led by the piers’ owners. The pier tour is always a highlight of any AGM weekend, and this year we bring you access-all-areas tours of 4 piers.
At 2.45pm we will bring you another much-loved component of our AGM weekends: The entertaining and informative NPS quiz, which, for this year only, will be in an online format. If you are wanting to play along in the quiz, we recommend that you have an additional device (such as a smart phone or tablet) to input your answers. Following the quiz there will be an opportunity for a short social chat/break.
The Annual General Meeting will commence at 3.30 pm. Please remember only paid-up members are entitled to vote in the formal business of the AGM but all are welcome to attend.

Please provide your NPS membership number when registering (your membership number can be found on the envelope of your PIERS magazine). When registering for your free ticket please provide your email address, as the joining instructions for the AGM events will be sent to your email address on Friday 11th June 2021.
Rest assured, the Society is already planning the 2022 AGM Weekend, which is scheduled to take place in Southsea (third time lucky) on 10th to 12th June 2022. We do hope that NPS Members will spend an enjoyable afternoon with us online.
